Katra, Art Teacher and Director - now also Art Store Manager, One cannot teach what the do not know. As a child Katra learned the beauty of art from her parents. Art was not crayons and glue in her family, it was a way of living that incorporated mathematics, the sciences; all of life! Her father taught her the principles of Japanese and Chinese Landscape garden design which uses the Golden Mean. This mean, (the rate at which all of life grows), is what humans recognize as beauty. The balance it creates when it is achieved allows one to possess beauty at their fingertips. It is with much enthusiasm that Katra teaches her students the importance of the fine arts in their personal lives. As a teacher at Awakening...The Artist Inside, hopes to spread the knowledge that no matter what age, art is truly for everyone; that everyone has a masterpiece within. Marcela, Assistant Manager and Art Teacher. With extensive studies in the different Arts overseas and locally Marcela has been teaching children for over 15 years in North and South America. "Having lived in different countries, art takes on so many more colors, beauty, richness, depth and customs, different languages, different beliefs and learning not only how to understand and accept them, but sincerely respecting and loving them opens your eyes to a whole new form of Art. Art becomes so much more meaningful, it is no more a technique, but Art literally becomes a Universal language, soul's voices sometimes whispering; other times shouting out to the world its powerful words."
